About the Game

This 2025 CRC game is called Tak Tik. The game is 2 teams vs. 2 teams. The game pieces are rings with a hollow middle, The teams have to use their coloured game piece. You cannot have rings touching your robot before the game starts. The game is 5 minutes.

There is a lot more than just the robot. The video cannot be longer than 5 minutes excluding credits. The tutorial cannot be longer than 3 minutes excluding credits. There is programing competitions held on discord throughout the year as well as the big one at the end of the year in person at competition. Of course there is a website that must be completed and a kiosk.

About the Field

You can grab rings from the stack or the hook. The stack is a pile of 14 rings stacked onto each other. The hook has 2 horizontal bars with 8 rings on each bar. There are 4 different areas where a team can score on. There is the "post", "the inverted post", the "duel" and the "zone". The field is divided into a 3 by 3 grid. To get a Tik-Tak-Toe you need to own 3 posts. To own a post your ring has to be the last one placed, except the inverted post where it is the first team that places their ring in the post. If you get a Tik-Tak-Toe, the values of the posts increase by 50%. There are 4 posts, 2 inverted posts, 2 duels, and 1 zone. There are 4 stacks and 4 hooks. Two of each for each teams colour.

The post gets you 20 points it can hold anywhere from 6 to 24 rings, the capacity can change beteween games. The inverted post gets you 40 points. The duel gets you 30 points, each team can place their rings on their respective side. The side with the most rings wins that post. Each area in the zone gives you a different number of points: the section closest to your robot is worth 5 points, the next one is worth 10 points, the one after that is 15 points and the one right under the post is 20 points. The post in the middle of the zone is worth a whopping 500 points. The post in the middle can hold a total of 5 rings.

About the Robot

Your robot can't carry more than 3 rings at a time. Each robot must carry the appropriate safety equipment, the CRC volt, used to case the battery. The CRC stop must be in an accessible area. The CRC Signal is used to mark the team you are on, either blue or yellow. CRC Duino is an Arduino to hold and process code. And lastly the CRC Connect is connected to the X-Box controller you will use to control your robot's movements. The CRC Duino connects via Bluetooth to the CRC Connect.

You are allowed to use onboard cameras if they are not transmitting live feeds. You are allowed to use certain motors, servos, and sensors. Your robot can start the game at a size of 2.5 ft x 2 ft x 4 ft. Once the game begins, you can extend to the maximum of 3.5 ft x 2.5 ft x 4 ft.
